On
January 29, 2011 President Obama gave his State of the Union Speech
with regards to energy efficiency as a key resource for a Clean Energy
Standard.
As also stated by the ACEEE Executive Director, Mr. Nadel, it was quite
disappointing to hear so many clean energy resources listed by the
President, yet, the best and cheapest option went unnoticed!
"In 2009, there was a study done by the ACEEE on utility programs in 14
states that found energy efficiency would cost utilities an average of
2.5 cents per kWh vs. the other clean resources listed by President
Obama which would generally cost between 8 to 14 cents per kWh." --

Cost of Energy Saved Through Utility-Sector Energy Efficiency
Programs", 2009.
The question is: WHY isn't such an important topic as ENERGY EFFICIENCY
discussed more openly, seriously, and as the first measure to beging
with!?
Why state others all ahead of energy efficiency when we know that energy efficiency is the best choice?
