Environmentally
Friendly: As a great contribution to our planet's 'Green Project' the SmartSkid®
utilizes 60% less wood compare to a conventional skid.
Lower Freight Cost: By adding only a few negligible inches to each dimension of an enclosure, the SmartSkid®
is
conceptualized to minimize the shipping envelope of a transformer; therefore lowering the shipping costs.
Better
Protection in Transit: In order to provide the best protection for a transformer enclosure during transportation, the SmartSkid®
is designed to take advantage of the
maximum lumber strength hence providing unparalleled protection.
Safe
and Convenient:
Due to its lighter structural design, a simple pallet jack is
sufficient for lowering the transformer, hence eliminating the use of
heavy equipment.
Shorter
Installation Time: Unlike conventional skids, a transformer on the SmartSkid®
may be easily positioned on its installation spot in
minutes. According to the conducted studies, depending on the size of
the transformer, the SmartSkid® will reduce the
installation time by 20% to 55% compared to a conventional pallet.
Installation
Flexibility: Due to the heavy
gauge supporting brackets and their related hardware used to
attach the SmartSkid® to the enclosure, it may be utilized to
suspend the transformer from the ceiling regardless of the kVA rating of the unit.
